Objective: To develop a cost-effective solution and smooth out the sawtooth schedule of dispatch table shipments.
Solution: To develop and implement a new low-cost and dismountable series of dispatch tables in a small product matrix to support the warehouse program.
This embodies the IKEA core principles. The product is simple and practical. Any worker, regardless of qualifications, can easily assemble it on-site. The development process commenced one year ago, and now the products have already reached the third generation. All indicates that initial calculation was accurate.
The frame of each module is completely dismountable. Tolerance on the final product “0” with allowance (1-2) mm.
And the docking of modules is linear.
It was possible to implement several ergonomic features:
- Removable decorative inserts on supports allowing operators to easily move on chairs along the cascade of modules.
- The distance between the operator’s eyes and the monitor adheres to the range of 500-700 mm.
Rack adapters are included with the table.
The cable tray is designed to meet the dimensions required for telecommunication purposes: width 19 inches, depth 6U.
The matrix of modules is minimal. The stock balance of 20 pieces of each variety is maintained.
The container is reinforced and designed for stacking 3 places in height and 4 places in a storage cell.
A wide range of products has been developed for the series: document trays, shelves, outlet blocks.
This series allowed the ARMER manufacturer successfully fulfilling a greater number of transactions wherein customers possess a pressing requirement for a product or where the price plays a determining role.
